Grounding Practices

In our work together, I can offer grounding practices to help you stay connected to what’s real, especially when structures of power make it hard to trust your own experience.

We can start with the reminder: It’s real, it matters, and it’s not okay—a phrase to return to when powerful systems try to disconnect us from our sense of how the world should be.

We can call in ancestors – whether human, legendary, or non-human – such as…

  • Mel Baggs, who insisted on the humanity of all bodyminds

  • Bilhah and Zilpah, Biblical figures whose familial relationships were always seen as secondary, and whose stories were nearly erased, but whose memory we can reclaim

  • Dandelions pushing through concrete; or the slow, fragile, non-dominating, but endlessly resilient growth of moss

Together, we can create simple amulets – small, tangible objects that help you carry these truths and lineages with you.

We can also seek, explore, build on, and honor your own grounding practices.
