Disability Torah

Since 2012, I have been developing and thinking about “disability Torah” along with a growing network of colleagues and other disabled Jewish humans. The origin of “disability Torah” was in “flipping the question” of What does Judaism say about disability? – to ask, instead, What does disability say about Judaism?

 

Disability Torah is at the heart of the Disability Justice Torah Circle, a project that I founded in 2021 to build community around the intersection of disability justice and Jewish text and tradition.
